“I give you an insider’s view of the DBA. I don’t sugar coat it for you. I give it to you straight. No lawyer talk, no double talk.
Just good old fashioned, unsweetened truth.”
Defense Base Act Lawyer Bill Turley
Do I need an aggressive Defense Base Act Attorney?
“My biggest fear was that I was employed with this military contractor that worked for the department of defense transporting the US Military, and my biggest fear was that I had been with this company close to 19 years, and when I got hurt on the job I was scared that I wasn’t going to make the money I used to make and my medical bills were not going to be paid....Bill Turley is like a pit bull, with a triple chop in his mouth, because he is really aggressive and at the same time he is very approachable.
What I liked about Bill Turley is that he sat back and listened to me, and gave me room to talk, which most attorneys don’t do.” - Stephanie B.
Stephanie - thanks for the nice words.
Listening is so important. It goes both ways. You need to listen to folks that are giving you professional advice. And they need to listen to you.
An aggressive Defense Base Act Lawyer
If you're looking for an aggressive Defense Base Act lawyer, that's understandable. But, being aggressive for the sake of being an aggressive DBA lawyer may not be what you need. It may be what you want.... but...
Aggressive in the sense that they are going to work hard to put you in the best position to win your case is what you should want and need.
Not someone that is going to be rude, mean and disrespectful to the insurance company adjusters and lawyers - just because you're upset with them.
Even if they're are ruining your life or attacking you.
At the end of the day, do you want to settle your DBA case or do you want to risk it and go to trial?
If you want to try and settle your case - you need to understand something. It's a lot easier to give people money if they like you than if you've ticked them off.
If you want to take your case to trial, you don't want to further motivate the other side so they spend more money and time to beat you because they think you're a jerk and they don't like you (or your attorney).
Trials are about risk. You can win, but you can also lose.
It's all about getting the evidence that you need to win
