The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued public health advisories warning consumers to stop using any body building products that are represented to contain steroids or steroid-like substances. Many of these products are marketed as dietary supplements.

* Loss of Libido

For those following the FDA and Steroids, the FDA has warned consumers to avoid the following products:

* TREN-Xtreme,
* MASS Xtreme,
* ESTRO Xtreme,
* AH-89-Xtreme,
* HMG Xtreme,
* MMA-3 Xtreme,
* VNS-9 Xtreme,
* TT-40-Xtreme.

The FDA has received reports of serious adverse events associated with the use of body building products that claim to contain steroids or steroid-like substances. Those adverse events include cases of serious liver injury, stroke, kidney failure and pulmonary embolism (artery blockage in the lung). The FDA advises consumers to stop taking body building products from any manufacturer that claim to contain steroid-like substances or to enhance or diminish androgen-, estrogen-, or progestin-like effects.


The Feds Raid bodybuilding.com

Federal Agents raided yet another "supplement" manufacturer. This time Boldbuilding.com. News sources report Federal agents raided the Boise, Idaho, headquarters and distribution warehouse of Bodybuilding.com yesterday amid allegations it is selling dozens of products containing illegal anabolic steroids.


A majority stake of Bodybuilding.com was reportely sold to Liberty Media, which also owns the Atlanta Braves.


Hydroxycut voluntarily recalled

Please recall that earlier this year Iovate Health Sciences USA, Inc. of Blasdell, New York and Ontario, Canada announced that it voluntarily recalled Hydroxycut branded products sold in the United States. Of course, this means they are probably still selling these dangerous products abroad.
