What laws do floating crane crew members fall under?

Crew members who work aboard floating cranes usually have Seaman Status. Meaning, if they are injured their case falls under the Jones Act and traditional seaman's laws under maritime law. Otherwise they fall under the Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Act. Some floating crane operators who work outside the U.S. may qualify as a Sieracki Seaman.
