What happens if my employer says I worked overtime that wasn't authorized?

It doesn't matter if your employer "authorizes"  your overtime or not. If you worked the hours, then you are entitled to the overtime pay in California. California wage and hour laws require California employers to pay overtime, whether authorized or not.

Please understand, the employer can discipline you if you violate your employer's overtime policy.  But, they still have to pay you for the time you worked.

If you have questions about whether you were paid California Overtime according to California's overtime laws, we can answer your questions, call us today at (619) 234-2833
